Church Membership
We commit to a local body of believers
through church membership.
Membership Is
About Belonging
Church membership is all about love & accountability. The process might be modern, but the heartbeat is ancient. Hebrews 13:17 shows that leaders are called to care for a specific flock. So, membership isn't a hoop to jump through. Instead, it’s simply saying, "I’m part of this family," so we know exactly who we are spiritually responsible for.
It’s about clarity.
Our doors are open to everyone. However, the Bible distinguishes between the crowd and the committed (1 Cor. 5:12–13). Think of it as a covenant: it’s a way to protect our unity and stay honest with one another as we follow Jesus together.
The "banks" that guide the river.
Structure sounds formal, but without it, community can get chaotic and confusing. We keep things organized so we can stay focused on what matters: worship, & authentic, joyful relationships. A little bit of framework actually gives us more freedom to be the church.

Belonging at Vista
First of all... Take Your Time!
We suggest attending, praying, and discerning for about six months before making it official. Use this time to lean in, meet the family, and see if this is a good fit. No rush—we’re just glad you’re here.
Ready to go "All In"?
If you’ve been with us for a while and feel the call to commit, here’s the roadmap for how to do that:

Ready to go "All In"?
If you’ve been with us for a while and feel the call to commit, here’s the roadmap for how to do that:
- Step 1: The "Inside Look"
Join us for an event we do biannually called Get to Know Vista. It’s a casual gathering (usually after church on a Sunday) where we share our story, our "why," and where we’re headed. You’ll meet our leaders and get to ask the hard questions. - Step 2: The Online Connection
After the class, click HERE to fill out a New Member Form. It’s a way for us to get your story on paper. - Step 3: The "Interview"
Once you’ve submitted your form, we’ll grab some time to sit down with our Elder team. We want to hear your heart and dream with you about your future here. - Step 4: The Big Welcome
We’ll share your intent with the whole church family for two weeks—giving everyone a chance to celebrate the news. Then, we’ll officially (and joyfully!) welcome you into the family!
Stay in the Loop!
Membership at Vista moves in a biannual rhythm. To see where we are in the current season and find the dates for our next gathering, check out our New Member Calendar.
